Need assistance overclocking my new Gaming RIG

Ok system specs are posted below. Biggest problem is the BIOS its AMI v2.61 , and doesn't have very many options. So first question. Does anybody have experience with AMI overclocking? Second anybody have any success with this setup? I'm tryin to get my PC to run Crysis and Assassins Creed. I meet minimum requierments for both but, Crysis freezes when character walk button is pressed then unfreezes when I let go. Assassins Creed just lags so much its not worth playing. Yes I know your all sayin " You need a better video card". I KNOW! But for now this is what I have. So can someone please help me to overclock my system, so that I may game once again?

Ussery, have you had a chance to check out any of the overclocking guides? Here is a guide that I strongly recommend reading over when you have a chance: http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ocket-am2.html.
What options in your BIOS allow for modification?

Good luck

Ussery, my first suggestion would be to start reading over the guide that I posted above. The settings that the guide explains should be very similar to the ones in your BIOS. Some overclocking options vary from board to board and some are also very limited.
When you start to raise your HTT (reference clock) make sure to drop your memory to a lower speed. DDR2 667 or even DDR 2 533 should be fine. Raising the HTT will raise your memories frequency speed and this can sometimes cause stability issues. Also keep an eye on your temperatures when you start to raise your voltages.

I'm sure others will chime in soon with some nice suggestions.

Good luck

Ussery, make sure to disable "Spread Spectrum" before you start overclocking. If CPU Over-clocking Function is set to "Enabled" does that open up more options within the BIOS?

Good luck
