Good luck

Ussery, if frequency is the only option available then start raising the HTT 5-10mhz incrementally. Test for stability on each OC. If your not able to change the "vcore" then you'll have to settle for the highest OC on stock voltage.

Hope that helps

Good luck!

Your motherboard was not made for overclocking and does not have a very good chipset, so I wouldn't even try. That is why you are having trouble. Your mothreboard is very low end.

Atomagenesis, that is very true but he does have the options available so it wouldn't hurt to try

I can up the voltage. There is 1.85, 1.9, 1.95, 2.0 HT is on auto currently it goes in increments of 200. 200, 400.... 1000. I have noticed when I change Frequency windows shows no cpu change?

P.S. I will eventually get a better board or just say the hell with it and buy a bigger processor.

Ussery, those voltage options almost look like they belong to the memory (vdimm). What HTT (reference clock) are you changing to? Is there any options for processor multiplier?
If your really set on overclocking then I would pick up a board that is designed around the enthusiast. Pick up something that offers plenty of overclocking options. Is your 4400+ a Manchester core? The Manchester core typically requires quite a bit of voltage if your reaching for speeds upwards around 2.7-2.8Ghz.

Good luck

Ussery, the 3850 is a very impressive card. I'm sure you'll be happy with it for a while. How are the temps while gaming? One thing I had to do with mine was remove the cooler and apply some AS5 but other then that it ran great.

Good luck
