Here is a pic of 17in 4:3 vs 24in. Since the 17in is 4:3 it will have a similar hight as a 19in WS.

I just got my 2496HM today!!! Oh My GOD it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friend's dad got the 2693HM and I instantly fell in love. I could not justify $100 for another inch and a half so I got the 2493. But right now the 2693HM is $539.00 with free shipping at NewEgg. That's a deal I would have made if I had seen it.
