Running alpha dog @ highest clock possible for 24/7

Thread Starter
I have an alpha dog edition card...according to TigerDireect this guy runs 40-50% cooler than the others and therefore there are lots of headroom to overclock..

now comes my question...say, if I found the card's limit with the GPU temp full load in the 60 and run it 24/7 (well, sometimes I do turn it off when I am at work). Will it shorten the card's life ?

I don't think so, as long as the cards voltage doesn't change (which it won't unless you Vmod it), the cards life will not shorten. Changing clocks only is as safe as it gets, just watch temps.

Provided your temps don't get to high, and the card is stable at set clocks, then I wouldn't worry about it. Like Jack says just watch your temps.

Grab RivaTuner to monotorize the temps lol.
