first off, did you download rivetuner yet? if you did there are various guides in this forum that show how to use the fan speed in the program.

and it depends on what kind of clock speeds you are going for, a good cooler for the gt is the thermaltake duorb....

I would reccomend downloading EVGA Precision as it's a bit simpler to work with than riva but does control fans and overclocking.

Once its installed and running you will see sliders for the core clock, shader clock, memory clock, and fan speed. The graphs on the left will show the GPU temperatures, and clock speeds. I would recommend linking the core and shader clocks. I have the same card as you in SLI and have them set for 700/1750/1000, and fan speed set to 90%. Once you adust the sliders, hit the test button and it will give you an indication that it passed driver testing, then click apply. Go into the wrench button and on the general tab click Start with Windows, and start minimized if you prefer. I use a logitech G15 so I enable the support for it and tray icon montoring in the Monitoring tab.

my pleasure to help! To be safe you go for 650 core with shaders linked and 950 on the memory and see what the temps look like.
