No Crossfire Option?

Thread Starter
Does anyone know why the crossfire option isn't showing in ccc for me, I've got the 8.5 drivers, I've completely reinstalled them. I've checked the cards power and motherboard connections, both Crossfire Bridges are on? When I look in Display Adaptors only one graphics card is showing. O and the moniter is connected to the card in my x16 slot. (Crossfire used to work perfectly with 8.4 Drivers)

This is what i had to do to get Crossfire working on my rig.
1. Uninstall the old drivers totally.
2. Only install one card at first and install the Cat. drivers.
3. Power down your rig and install the second card. You only need 1 Crossfire bridge unless your res is something outragous.
4. Power up your rig and enable Crossifire in CCC.
5. U might need to one more reboot to to get Crossfire going.

This are the steps i used to get it going. I sure there are other ways but this one work for me. Oh and i used the top right DVI connector to connect my monitor to. I've read that sometimes u have to start at a top one and move your monitor to a one at the bottom. Hopes this helps and good luck.

Both bridges?
I thought you only needed one with two cards and the other link is for more than two cards.

Look in device manager and see if both cards are listed. If they are not then use Guru3D Drive sweeper to un install the drivers. Reboot and re install the drivers.

Kk i got to rebooting with the new drivers installed since sweep. Now when i power up I get "Could not load or assembly 'MOM.Implementation' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.' I've tried restarting again. I will try reinstalling and tinker around with it all a bit but it feels like im missing something.

Thanks for the help so far btw guys.

Just go back to 8.4, I didn't notice any improvements with the 8.5s.
Just wait for a month, and ATI will have 8.6s.
Seems like they are dumping a driver update one per month.

Make sure you run drive sweeper again and re boot before installing the drivers. You may want to use drive sweeper in safe mode. It sounds like to me you may have had a bad install at one time and have some left overs from it.

Check your bios. northbridge or southbridge chipset has an option to enable CGI (cross graphics impeller.)

Ok well I tried so much to get those drivers working but in the end the ATi CCC Suite wasn't even showing in the toolbar or popping up! So I decided to reformat as I needed to refresh ma hdd anyway. I have successfully installed 8.6 and it comes up fine now however the Crossfire option is still down the bottom. I will try rebooting with one card then rebooting with both and let you know how I go.
