Comes with the wiresleeving kits; but you can purchase it individually from some case modding sites such as performance-pcs. You can also looy at electronics sites as they generally carry sleeving supplies as well (even in bulk quantities).

But the place I get my heatshrink is from the bulk rolls A.C.Ryan sent me for a sponsored project

For cables like fan cables, where the pins tend to snag on the braiding, you can get an old ballpoint pen and slip that over the contacts, then slide the braid over the pen and gently work the pen out the other end of the braid. This can also be done on a larger scale with 10mm braid by using a sheet of A4 rolled to the correct size. Makes things so much easier. Tape can work but it leaves residue, is hard to get off and still tends to snag on the braiding.

For those of you in the UK, ChilledPC sell braiding for about £0.80/metre. CPC.co.uk catalogue also sells about 5m of the stuff for £1. They also sell heatshrink in both places too . Which reminds me I must buy some more.

A lighter works best in my experience, heats it up and shrinks it fast. It's your best bet if you don't have a paint-stripper around.

Performance PCs... I bought a pile of sleeving, I plan on sleeving/re-sleeving all of the wires in my case to a uniform green! They also carry electrical wire, heatshrink rap, connectors and just about anything you might need to mod.

I suspect it would depend how powerful the hair dryer is, it might make it shrink but a decent heat gun might make it shrink even further!
Theres only one way to find out...

Thanks for feedback everyone, I like doing little guides like this!
