Low Ram Speeds

Thread Starter
Well i dont really know much about RAM ocing, but my cpu is stable at 2.6 right now by just increasing the frequency to 227.

It says my ram is at 400 mhz. Is that right, or shouldnt it be at 800mhz since its pc6400.

Thanks in advance, - shibbz.

I have a similar issue.

I'm using dual channel 2x1GB G.Skill PC2-6400
Model: F2-6400CLD-2GBHK

They shouldn't be different speeds and seem to be bottlenecking my PC.

I tried moving sticks to different slots, setting system voltage in Bios to Auto, then manual and overvolted to +0.2volts after seeing people with similar issues on G.Skills website. http://newgskill.web-bi.net/gstechforum/

None of these seemed to remedy the situation. Would like to hopefully get this fixed without having to RMA.
