Akira, that seems extremely low. Can you verify the Vcore by going into your BIOS? That should provide you with a more accurate reading. Sometimes CPU-Z will display a wacky result if your Vcore is higher then 1.45volts.

Good luck

this is what it says on the hardware health screen
cpu voltage 1.168v
chip voltage 1.104v
+3.30v 3.312v
+5.00v 5.053v
+12.0v 12.160v
ht voltage 1.168v
ddr voltage 1.872v
5vsb 5.234
vbat 3.168v

by the way....when i tried that oc guide and i started on baseline where it told me to set everything to a certain thing...i got a warning messege in windows...couldnt tell what it said because it just flashed on and off but i could make out warning it still did it after i did the auto oc on v8. that is when i did the optimal settings. should i load defaults when i go to do the manual oc? I also know the defaults for my mem bot not for the board.

Akira, are those results taken from the BIOS? Do you happen to know the core name of your 4600+? If your unsure on what has changed in your BIOS then go ahead and load the defaults and then manually change them to the correct values.

What kind of problems are you having when trying to find the limits of each component?

Good luck

yeah..they were taken from the bios. I didnt even get past the isolate the motherboard before temps shot up and i started getting a message flashing up and off to where i could not read it. Basicly all i am wanting to do is get a stable machine around 2.7-2.8ghz for the time being with the memory to where it is suppose to be. when i do the auto overclock the memory is underclocked(per safety reasons says biostar)I have get going right now but when i get back i will post screenshots on when it is on the v8 function.

here are screenshots from cpuz

Akira, I would probably stay away from the V8 and V12 settings. It's best to manually enter in the settings. Read over that guide I posted and follow the steps. Before you start raising the HTT (reference clock) you might want to drop the memory divider so the memory frequency doesn't cause instability. You can always play with the memory later on. Try changing it to DDR2 533.

Give it a shot! Let us know

Good luck

though the board says its compatible with 1066 ram it only allows (200, 266, 333, 400mhz). it doesnt have a spot for ddr2 type. is there a way to chat with you...say yahoo messenger or something?

Akira, that is very strange. Those frequency's are for DDR1. I had a look at your manual and it wasn't very descriptive. Can anyone else with this motherboard verify these settings?

Good luck
