Sweet!
I wonder how this will perform against a 9800GX2 or a GTX 260.

The 4870 uses GDDR5 memory, will that cause any compatibility issues?

Nope.

I'm still deciding between 4850 or 4870.

I just bought the nForce 780i Motherboard, if I bought a ATI Card, would it be compatible with this board, considering its an Nvidia SLI Board and the card is ATI...

Yes, it will be but you can't crossfire them.

This is correct. I was using an HD3850 on an M2N-SLI Deluxe for a while. It works perfectly fine as long as you don't CrossFire them.

HD4870 is my next card as well, whenever I build a completely new system.

Hmmm...I guess now it all depends on which of the new cards performs better for games, than I will decide what to get... Thanks for the info!
