Sure, you can say, "but hey... this other one which is smaller has some better features", however if someone is looking more for the size (i.e. being able to see smaller objects on the screen better) over what you consider a "better picture" quality, then why are you so furiously defending the opposing POV in this thread.

You've stated your positions on it, why not just leave it at that. Honestly, by your continued posts, you make it look like the monitor in question is not a quality product. Others say it is... every you said it was, so why all the extra dialogue? This is a "deal" thread... not really a pros and cons comparison versus other monitors thread. That kind of post would be found in the "Monitors and Displays" section of the Components forum and not in this "Online Deals" forum.

Just my opinion on that. Thanks for your time.
What do you mean "leave it at that?" You're the one continually bringing it up...

You want everything to be black and white, and it isn't. That's why any simple explanation baffles you. Just because a product is decently priced doesn't mean it has top-of-the-line quality. You act like those two have to be together when they clearly do not. This monitor may be good for its price, but there are better monitors available.

If someone spews misinformation about a technology then you should say something. Getting other people to believe something that isn't true just perpetuates the problem, and you are mistaking this with criticism of the monitor.

Furthermore, if you think subjective opinions are the be all and end all of the decision making process then remind me never to ask for your advice. Just because someone says something is good doesn't make it so. What good is a claim you cannot support?

Actually I'm not even debating it with you since you see every response in this thread as an "attack" (at least it appears this way...)

I asked you a simple question which you didn't even answer directly. Instead you spewed a bunch of other info about another product which is NOT what I asked you. All you had to say is:

A) Yeah, it's a good monitor for that price... or

B) It's a good monitor, but I wouldn't pay that much for it... I'd wait for it to go lower still.... or

C) It's a piece of crap monitor an any price...

Bottom line... that's all. I didn't ask for a comparison of other monitors that were smaller, nor did I ask if those other offerings had a better this or that. This is a "deal" thread... and if the unit is pretty good, then it is pretty good on its own. If it's a piece of crap, then it's a piece of crap. How hard is that to understand and convey an opinion?

I guess you just can't answer a simple question... you have to inject a bunch of other "non releated issues" to the question being asked. READING IS FUNDAMENTAL here. This is regardless of you supposedly "defending" it earlier. Your additional justifications make it look like you think that this unit is a piece of crap which I guess makes you sorta a "hypocrite" somewhat since it looks like your opinion of the product is negative now.

Either way, as stated before, this is the DEALS forum, not the MONITORS AND DISPLAYS forum. If you want to go on and on about a comparison to other monitors and such then why not start a separate thread over there?

Here's a link if you dont' know where it is located: http://www.overclock.net/monitors-displays/

Honeslty, I'm not arguing with you about this monitor versus that one. If I were to buy this monitor (based on cost and size) it would be strictly for gaming purposes so that I can see the snipers in the games I play before they can see me. Sorry if you got all wrapped up in being defensive in this thread, however honestly, you kinda did that to yourself. Oh well... and the world goes on.

Have a nice day.
