I must say.

I don't know if AT&T has better service, better sound quality, or even really the best rates ... but the person who I talked to when buying my phone(s) (they had a local promotion where you could get family plan rates with people not in your family for $5/mo extra and we're just all gunna pay $22/mo for unlimited everything split between us) was insanely cool. Not the generic "what else can I sell you, only answer questions if they lead to me trying to pitch more stuff, etc"

Even made sure that I did (or didn't, but I did) apply for any discounts. Ended up getting 12% off because of my GPA (they times your GPA by three and make it a percent, and since mine was the highest I just used mine )

I'm happy

LG Shine is hard to text on though. I'll get used to it

I have the LG The V (vx9800) for verizon, and I love it, but I don't text.
Is GH3 available for your phone? I'm curious to see how it works with a keyboard (before I buy it )

Here's a 1600x1200 (default res) camera shot ... not too bad at 55mph inside my truck while driving down the road with the window up

It's the one/two story part of my school, and the picture is taken by the road. Not too bad for a $99 camera phone

I've been on AT&T since September, my family just switched over, all very happy. And my friend just switched too, and has a Shine on the way. =D

nvm, I guess you don't have verizon. They're offering a mobile version of Guitar hero 3.
My phone has a keyboard, and it would have been nice if the game would use the keyboard if it was on a phone that had a keyboard.

nvm. So how do you like your shine? Anything that stands out? (other than the amazing photography skills it gives you )

It's not made like a $99 phone, which was a big suprise for me. From what I was told it was meant to "replace" the Chocolate, which was intended as a mainstream consumer phone which, actually, sucked. I was kinda thinking it would end up like that, but I actually think the build quality is damn excellent. No squeekyness, slides well, keys are a little small (but I just have to get used to that, my old phone had big buttons), and feels solid as hell.

Videos are good too.

Slightly worse service (one bar less on average) than Alltel, but sound quality is awesome and I still haven't dropped a call or anything.

Happy with it.

I'm glad you like your Shine! I was going to get one because they are uber sexy with huge screen and stainless steal, but at the time they were almost two hundred dollars, and my job offered me a Samsung 737 for free. They have almost the same features, shine has a bigger screen and a 2MP camera over my Samsungs 1.3MP.

Awesome things you must know/have!!!

1: If you have the data plan (15$ PM) you HAVE to download OperaMini 4.1! It can download any file, (Even nVidia updates and such), also can be landscaped so you can browse lazily while laying down, also lets you go to any site in it's true form, not the crummy mobile sites you get with the regular medianet browser.

2: AT&T is the only wireless provider that lets you do voice and data at the same time! (In 3g areas) So that means if you have a bluetooth headset you can talk on the phone and browse the internet at the same time.

3: You can get an avi to 3gp converter and watch all your favorite shows and movies on a micro SD card.

4: Google Maps!!

5: Great Games: Midnight Bowling 3D, New Castlevania, Street fighter 2, Might and Magic 2, Speed Racer, Sonic the Hedgehog, Urban Attack, and Big Range Hunting.

PM me if you have any ATT questions

keeng james, you forgot the classics like tetris 'n stuff!
do you happen to know a list of good games for verizon?
Pook, make sure you get a 3gp converter that can adjust resolution. No Point having a 480p or 720p video on your phone . My phone's main screen has 320x256, so I downconvert videos to that. Saves lots of space. Supposedly in 3gp you can fit about 3 full-length movies on a 1gb card!
