Help me choose!

Alright, I'm building a new PC soon. I've got pretty much everything figured out... but the case. Who knew I'd ever run into this problem.

Anyways, I've read reviews upon reviews, I fall in love with something then realize it's lacking somewhere (usually the price, no 300$ case for me).

I've got a few requirements. I want a full size tower, mid is fine if it is bigger than usual. It needs to have room for SLI (I'm planning to SLI the new cards when they get here down the line). Cable management needs to be somewhat manageable.

My other requirement is exceptionally good air flow. Which is where I am getting extremely picky. I want more than 2 friggin fans, front, back, side, top, and maybe bottom fans would be nice. Side vents up top would be nice too. Doesn't have to come with the fans, I don't care, but the option has to be there as I don't mod.

I don't want to spend a fortune (I'll go over budget some for exceptional quality) and would like it to look somewhat decent. I guess I can't be overly picky here, but a side window would be nice. But my only requirement is it be mostly black.

I have to say the Coolermaster CM690, it's a mid tower but has plenty of room, great wire management, extreme air-flow if you put fans in all the provided spots, and it's inexpensive.

Click on my gallery and you can see pics of it (the little camera under the +rep button!)

Nice! I just saw that case after I posted this. Guess I didn't find it before since I was looking for full.

What fans did you use for the rest?

Oh and, perfect perfect price!

I used Yate Loons, blue LED 88cfm fans x4, a couple Antec 79cfm fans, and a silverstone FM121 for the rear case exhaust.

Thank you very much for the links.

I'm gonna go with the 690 which I guess is it's big brother because Amazon has free shipping on it (makes it cheaper than newegg 590 cause they charge shipping =( ). I think it has 1 less fan though... Has an optional window door too. Nice.

I second the 690, you cant beat it for the price...

Ok, I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a custom panel for it maybe? Because I want a window model if possible, and their window door option is ugly as hell. Yeah I could mod it myself, but uhm, I'd probably cut off my finger or something.

Otherwise the NZXT Tempest looks kinda good.

I want this beast...

ThermalTake Armor+ black full tower - VH6000BWS
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/C.../vh6000bws.asp

it comes with a 120mm rear fan, a 140mm front fan, and a 230mm side fan... you can put a 120mm or 140mm fan at the top and remove the two bottom HDD cages (still leaving 5 other bays) and add either two 120mm or 140mm fans at the bottom as well..

here is a video review

sucks the black (VH6000BWS) is out of stock in most places (though ebay has it)... the silver (VH6000SWA) however is still avail.

Let's see...
Big size with enough various bays, especially "full" motherbord tray and lot of space around lower edge of motherboard (plenty of cables there) are definitely nice but...
- Rear exhaust fan has high impedance grill (same for top fan position) needing cutting.
- Top PSU position thermally bad. (also cramped with big CPU HSFs)
- Open front design leaks noise of components.
- Plastic mounted HDDs: thermal decoupling (=no conductive cooling), but vibration can still proceed. And airflow around HDDs restricted.
- Barely any tool-less 5.25" mounting method works well also with short devices (require full number of screw holes), this one no exception.
- Noisy general design.
- Lack of controlled airflow.
So rather typical TT.

Ive looked at that one, 205$ is a bit more than I'm willing to pay for a less than perfect case. I can't say I like the design at all. Reason I didn't like the Antec 900 aside from it being too small for me was the design too.

A plain black box with a side window and good airflow. Fancy is ok but that thing looks weird or cheap (all the grates look cheap to me) haha.
