Can a stock HP computer use a 8800GTS G92 ?

Thread Starter
My friend has this computer
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/p...686671&lang=en
and he wants to buy this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133215
And he is wondering would it work? He doesn't know if his computer has a 6pin connector or not and If I tell him to open his rig, He wouldn't know what to look for. Does anyone know if stock hp computers have 6pin plugs?
And is there a better graphic card around that price range?
Thanks!

Your friend should be able to use a stock 8800GTS using a 6 spin adapter. I think it might come with the video card. If not you can buy one. OEM PSUs tend to be underrated. People can get an 8800GT to work on dell stock PSU so it should work. But I would contact HP before you buy anything.

the 8800GTS requires a 400W or greater psu with a 12V current rating of 26A.

i cant tell if you can for sure, but if you open up the computer and take a peek at the psu, that should be definitive if you can or cant.

the 8800gts comes with a 6 pin adaptor in case your psu doesnt have one.
