Since the decision has been made i'm gonna ask a question. Is everyone absolutely positive the e7200 is non soldered? I had my e4400 delidded and even after being lapped it lowered it's temps like 7 degrees celcius lol.

while the vcore limits are much mower for thr e7200, i only need 1.136v to get to 3.6Ghz and i can run crysis and 3dmark fine! Also the lower vcore also mean lower temps, i've never gone over 44C under full load at my sig setup

OOPS forgot to go to page three, i was commenting on a 1 month old question!

E7200 is one of the best overclocking chips of 2008.

I'm buying water cooling to see if this baby will push pass the 4.0GHz barrier. 1800QDR (450*9.5) It might fry my mobo but hey its all good fun.

I've been contemplating getting one of these from Microcenter (I'm in Georgia right now), because they have them in-store for $125. I've run my E6600 up to 3.6GHz, but not totally stable. Is it a pretty fair bet that this one will hit 3.8GHz in my setup?

Edit: $120

I can easily hit 4 Ghz without going over the 1.36vcore, its just the temps that kill my CPU, at 4.2Ghz my load temps go to 64C, which i guess isn't bad for an artic cooler 7, for $30, my idle/ load at 3.6Ghz are 28/44 so im sure 3.8Ghz is do-able, but for 4Ghz your going to need better cooling then i have and water will do the trick.

You don't think a TRUE with a 110CFM fan will do it?

Honestly i bearly know what a TRUE is, let alone what are good coolers, I dont know much about different CPU coolers, but i know the TRUE is supposed to be one of the best so im sure it will do it, since i can get 3.8 without heat problems on my cheap air cooler

That's a "TRUE". And yeah, it's generally seen as one of the best air coolers on the planet.
