Besides, FLAC is just picking the compression level D:
But, as was mentioned earlier, EAC catches and fixes errors much better than others, resulting in higher quality rips. That aspect isn't mp3 vs FLAC, it's EAC vs everything else.

I was playin around WMP, VLC, Winamp and foobar for a week now... and also just discovered about FLAC from the forums here last week.(now i'm in the dark*side* too.)

*YAY!* My ears thanks you and everyone here in my change in audio format.

Lastly thanx to your link to that bit-tech PC Audio 101, i gots my foobar on Hulk serum, foobar SMAAASH lol

It was like night and day when i play back FLAC on the suped-up foobar and the same song on different media players
