HEATSINKS vs IRON ¬56K¬ - Page 3

not sure whats worse...
3 (unplugged) fans and heat sink trying to cool an iron that runs 12 times hotter than a CPU..lol
or
me setting off fireworks on a metal bin lid, inside on my bed...

You should have called it:
"ho i ruined 3 heat sink and my mums iron"...lol

i was 16 at the time...BORED
so started setting off fireworks i found in a cupboard on a bin lid....in my bedroom!
couple of minutes later the the flames get a bit high (was adding extra fuel to it..lol)
so i attempted to pick up the bin lid and throw it out my window....
FAILED...burnt my hands and dropped it ALL over my bed...
run away and got a bucket of water.......
eventualy got it under control....

I was going to say i did a wash and did the ironing...
and while ironing i "accidently" left the iron on the sheet and it "burnt" it...causing small fire....
BUT...as my parents came hame early that day...that plan fell through the roof!
new bed was needed as emm the matress took a hit as did the bed frame...lol
and bedroom needed repainted as while i was away getting water...the flames climbed up the wall...lol

the things you do on summer holidays....
never even got grounded...parents wanted me out the house...lol

next idea:
test how long it takes for a laptop to become un-usable under water?

I doubt the iron gets hot enough to melt aluminum, but this should be fun
agreed, as the baseplate for the iron itself is probably Al...
