So would +12V1 at 18A together with +12V2 at 18A be enough to run either of these things? The wattage is 600W.

Dude 36A for whole system, not for the card alone. Card has ~180W TDP which is 15A for the card, put it 17A if its Oced. Add these 17A to the 38A you need with one OCed card and you get 55A. So mate I think it will be enough

Also 3dMark 06 is so bottlenecked it can't get anymore. If you don't OC the CPU scores are just awkward

3870X2 owns everything in 3d06 and 280 wins in vantage which i heard is very biased.
i'd like to see some gaming benches not 3dmark scores.

Well if those numbers are true i'm not impressed. With a 780i and a Quad @ 3Ghz i get around 9.5k in the vantage performance preset with a Single 9800GX2.

Funny how the GX2 isn't in the chart for comparison isn't it.

They should include the 9800GX2 in the chart. Hope the new driver give them a boost.

I dunno, should do....but like i said rather odd for a 9800GX2 not to be in the chart. I suspect these new cards aren't so radical afterall.
