Help me pick a lappy.

Thread Starter
I've been looking around between the likes of Acer, HP, OCZ ect ect, but I'm afraid I'll end up making a costly mistake.

Basically, I'm not worried about the OS, I get Vista Business x64 through school, so unless a comparable OS is offered at no extra cost, I'm just gonna upgrade it with my free copies from school.

I want 2 gigs, and I'm thinking no less than a 8400m, but preferably a 8600m and with a laptop, I'm not concerned between Intel and AMD, so long as it's a dual core.

What are some places that I can get a customised laptop for decent price? Hoping to spend no less than 600 bucks and no more than $1000.

Thanks in advance dudes

I have a Dell Vostro for sale...
T7100 C2D 1.8Ghz
8600M GT
2GB RAM
160GB HDD

With 70 euro Belkin Case

Virtually Brand New Condition, could probably do $950 + shipping to the states (~$1050)

Thanks though.

I suggest go with a vostro anyway...I love the new Vostro 1310...13.3 inch screen, Core2Duo, 8400M GS, 2GB Ram

Or get the new OCZ barebones, and build it yourself, because after all, this is OCN

I'd suggest playing around on dell.com customizing small business laptops (vostro) or the home ones. In my opinion they have the best build quality and bang for your buck. Good luck

all the above are good but i would recommend going with a asus or acer laptop. Dell does not have a good track record and from personal experience and general knowledge asus and acer are way better, more bang for your buck as they say.
