Windows crashes when starting AMD Overdrive

Thread Starter
I've got a problem with my AMD Athlon 6000+ dual core processor.
I tried to overclocking it a little bit with AMD overdrives autoclock function,
which used to work fine.(I'm not a experienced overclocker, just getting started)

Had it running on 3.2GHz with a stable temperature of 48C untill AMD Overdrive was suddenly frozen.
I simply shut the process and now (even after reinstalling) my system crashes as soon I open AMD Overdrive....
Any suggestions on what to do?

My setup:

Vista home premium 32 bit
MSI K9A2 Platinum
AMD Athlon X2 6000+
2x ATI Radeon HD3850
2GB DDR2-800

I'd have to agree, OC in the BIOS if you can. Funny story though, when I open it on my X38450 rig, it tells me I have no AMD chip in my machine, lol.
