How to reset bios password

I am in serious need of help i have this laptop

and the computer is locked with a bios password I've been getting stressed out because i can't reset it, the cmos battery does nothing when removed and drained of power the only way i know that is left is to ask sony for a code but they wont give me one because i dont have an original receipt because i bought it from a friend who just moved to germany if anyone could help that would be great

I think the only way is to reset the cmos via jumpers. Move the jumpers from 1-2 to 2-3 for a few seconds and then move it back to 1-2, then your ok.

Unplug from mains - take out ALL batteries, move a switch/jumper leave for 10 odd seconds
Should work
Alternatively - Talk to Sony about it i guess.....

What bios does it use? Most have a backdoor password - a few are listed here

did you try removing the CMOS battery + [and the laptop battery]?

Remove the power plug, remove the battery, do the jumper, then remove the cmos battery.

If none of that works, than...uh oh.

You could try flashing the bios. Maybe that would wipe out the old cmos password.
