Yet again, BF2 problems

So yeah I haven't played BF2 in a while, and boy do I know why, first thing I noticed, no servers with a low ping, it all above 100 for me. On 2142 I can find servers that I have a 30-40ms ping. Well I load up a map and right off the bad I notice problems, there are black triangles everywhere! and you can't see anything. I didn't get a screenie of that, so I just rebooted and then loaded up BF2 again, well it played good for like 5 mins, then this happened. I don't know what is to blame, EA, drivers.... It's all up in the air.

And look I was number one on my team, sorry can't give you a KD ratio cause I can't see the numbers..... I love the PKM though!

Try rolling your video driver back one or two and if that card is oc'ed, drop it back to stock. Strange artifacts are sometimes related to high temps too. 2142 did that strange stuff to me before I got the monster GPU cooler I have now.

yes, last time this happened to me, i rolled back the drivers, and it fixed it temporarily. go figure, nothings perm with bf2, except for BANS.

the time before, i had issues where i failed to restart the computer after installing it. yeah... i had to reinstall. took almost an hour and a half, due to all the expansions, boosters and patches.

bf2 is bug ridden. i think ive learned to live with it.

No all the cooler did was make your GPU more stable. The low the temps you can get the more efficient your processor is, so when that GPU got soo hot it was not liking it and started artifacting. But I'm thinking about rolling back some drivers, but then again I just installed rivatuner and ati tool again because i've had some problems with them way back I uninstalled them. Now I installed them again, but I have the GPU at stock clocks, 600/1500/900. But I can run crysis and anyother game at 780/1900/1100 no problem. Can anyone recomend a good driver number? there are so many of them to choose from. Also when ATi tool scans it picks up aritfacts like crazy, but then it says there aren't any errors, I don't know what is wrong with it. Again all stock clocks this stuff is artifacting.

And it could be that I need to reinstall the whole game. But I really hate doing that. I would almost rather just go ahead a format my comupter and reinstall windows. I sure wish EA games weren't this buggy......
