Bored with my music. need more epic. - Page 4

You should try Explosions in the Sky, I think they're kind of "epic" sounding.

EDIT: Btw i think thats a fan-made video.

Lol. Coheed isn't 'epic' orchestra, trance, or anything remotely like what he's asking for.

My suggestion is you learn to read. The OP asked for this:

Quote:
I love all those crazy, loud, epic songs that just give you an adventurous feel.
People just posted there interpretations of what that meant to them, he didn't specify a specific genre or anything.

And as for your list, I don't see anything I'd consider "epic", or at least "fitting" with what the OP wanted, but once again thats a matter of opinion. This isn't to say they aren't good songs, just not what i'd consider "epic".

Hmm, epic you say? Classical is the master of epic. Anyone who tries to tell you Classical is boring hasn't been looking in the right places. To start with, Dvorak's 4th movement of the New World Symphony is pretty much one of the most epic pieces there is. So many movie soundtracks have ripped it off.

What else.? Rachmaninoff does some pretty epic stuff: Prelude in B flat, Prelude in G minor, Prelude in C minor, Prelude in C sharp minor, and so on and so forth, you get the point. Here is Prelude in G minor (Op. 23 No. 5) played by Emil Gilels.
(3:00-end = uber epic)

and of course Mozart's Sonata no. 8 in A minor is always fun. Beautiful rendition by Glen Gould, a truly masterful pianist.

Lets see, some of Schubert's stuff is fun too, Oh I know, Chopin!

Liszt can be exciting too

That should be a good intro to epic classical. Listen to these and tell me what you think.

Look into the genre called "post-rock" bands such as Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Caspian to name a few.
