Stop behaving like a kid and edit your first post and say in correct language that you don't want anime related music

You shouldn't takes this stuff. At least you two (dskina) made this thread good for the Nico Nico Douga and other Vocaloid stuff.

Ok so you want good music and you liked the MGS theme why don't you search for some OST from other films/games that Harry Gregerson-Williams have done.

You, My friend need Rhapsody [of fire]

They're a sweet Symphonic Metal band. Not that crap like TSO either.

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...a-eefd13ac0492

If that fails to impress you (which it shouldn't), then might you try Sonata Arctica.

I hope you find them as amazing as I do.

And who told you about that song?

It doesn't get much more epic than that song, really. And OP, if you want epic music, and don't want anime music, you do realize that MGS, and Anime, are both made in Japan, right? Listen to the intro track off of Elfen Lied. It's not exactly huge and epic, but it has a great classical quality to it.

Also, listen to Mahler's Symphonies (particularly Mahler 5), Gustav Holst's "The Planets" (particularly Mars: Bringer of War), and any of David Holsinger's "Dances" (Havendance, Graysondance, and Nilesdance). It's pretty much all orchestra or Wind Ensemble, but it is some really epic, fun stuff. Another great set of music to listen to is John Williams' movie soundtracks (Star Wars, E.T., Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, etc).

Shush. >.> I bought the CD.

Add to that all the classic classical... mozart, beethoven's 9th, etc.

I hate Mozart, mainly because I play trumpet, and he doesn't use brass at all, except as a glorified version of the timpani. I can appreciate what he does, but his music bores me to tears to play. Fun to listen to, but I always listen for the brass section, and they're never doing anything. Also, Mozart is a bit on the lighter, chamber music side for me to consider it epic, but that's just me. Needs MOAR BRASS, like John Williams.

Oh snap, the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, too. The song where the Orcs are marching, with the anvil smashes, that song owns.

I would hardly call that Trance, orchestral, or even techno man, the OP was being rude when he screamed at you for posting the anime stuff.... but really man, does this even count as music?

It's like a really long and drawn out theme-song to a anime tv series

You do realize that Hitler, and Volkswagens were both made in Germany right?

I was thinking about making a thread like this. I love certain 'epic' feeling songs.

You might like something like this:

I'll add more as i think of or find them. That's something that just came to mind since i'm listening to them right now.
