Need Help On Purchasing AGP graphic card

Hello I am running a old system I build about 4 years ago and Using sort of old technology. Anyways I was going to upgrade and rebuild pc but considering I don't like to upgrade often and like to buy one time best parts I decided to wait for the new ATI cards coming out in august. Anyways after thinking about it for a while I dont think i can wait that long to upgrade complete system so for the mean time I decided to just buy new AGP card to let me be able to play AoC with my friends and family members.

My Pc=
Lian Li Pc 65 case
ASUS P4c800-E deluxe Mobo
intel P 4 3.0 prescott no OC on it
3 GB DDR ram corsair XMS
74 GB 10k RPM raptor HD
creative audi g 2 zs
ATI x800 pro
Windows xp pro 32 bit

What would be the best AGP card for me to buy ? Any recommendations is greatly appreciated?

After thinking and calculating cost I think it would be a wiser choice to build later when new cards come out since mobo prices might drop aswel as CPU etc or better thinks can come out while waiting on new card.

What do you guys think? I wanted to build system around ATI 4870 and x48 chipset board but its going to be a while longer for the cards to come out.

P.S- dam it hurts to pay 400 dollars for a ATI x800 years ago and now finding out it barely gets 50 bucks ha ha ha dam wasted so much on my first pc I was desperate and bought second best of almost everything years ago and now i regret it a lot. I know a lot of you already know it but pc upgrades are bad investments lol you always come out loosing money.

I still remember the days my PC was top dog and enjoyed laughing at new games that came out and maxing out settings completely without worry and laughing at my friends. Now after they upgraded to new stuff they laugh at my old little pc ha ha ha. Maybe this new AGP upgrade can atleast let me play COD4 with frames higher than 8-15 at the lowest possible resolutions lol.

Anyways any info or personal stories about old systems and advice on upgrade greatly appreciated.

The best AGP card atm is a HD 3850. I'm sure you will get a huge boost from this.

Get a 3850(Any brand) or save up for a new compy (I'd choose the latter option)
