Proofread my WC setup please.

Thread Starter
So I am about to invest in the watercooling for my system. I'm running an EVGA 790i with a q6600.

My goal is to build a CPU only loop and get the best temperatures possible on water.

From what I've been researching, heres what I'm thinking of ordering.

D-Tek FuZion v2.0 Waterblock
Alphacool Laing DDC pump 12V Pro
Thermochill 120.3 Rad or Black Ice 360 GTX with 3x AeroCool XtremeTurbine-Black 120mm Fans
Danger Den Bay Reservoir High-Density Polyethylene
Tygon 3603 3/8" ID (1/2" OD) Clear Tubing
Arctic Silver 5

One of my concerns is what kind of fittings I will need to purchase.. I suppose I should run 3/8 tubing since the 120.3 does 3/8"

How does this sound?

Every thing looks good so far... I really prefer 5/8 tubing as it creates a real nice snug fit on 1/2.

You also need to think about fans and if your goal is silence or cooling.

I really like my PA 120.3 and its cooling. Many people here swear by some other stuff but the quality that Thermochill offers is right up there.

So for the rad...the ideal would be to have the 120.3 shroud with say..
3x AeroCool XtremeTurbine-Black 120mm fans?

5/8" is bigger than 1/2"... you mean 7/16"?

I would recommend getting a top for the pump: http://www.martinsliquidlab.com/DDC3...opTesting.html

What fans will you be using? A Black Ice 360 GTX would probably be better in most situatuions.

I would use 1/2" or 7/16" tubing.
Once again...

As for the pump top.. would this work?

I guess I'll be using 3 120mm fans (AeroCool XtremeTurbine-Black 120mm) There something better?

I can go with the Black Ice Rad over the thermochill. Aren't they about equivalent performance wise?

Thanks

Get a Liang DDC pump and this instead: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=23357

I would get 120x38mm fans like the Scythe Ultra Kaze or Panflo instead for more static pressure. With Scythe Ultra Kaze low speed (44CFM), the Thermochill would be better. However, the medium speed version (87CFM) would be better with a BI GTX.
