Vibrations problem with CoolerMaster HyperTX2

Well..

since some months i got a coolermaster HyperTX2..
it was cheap (19€) and it works great (it keeps my E4500 oced to 2,75 at 32º idle and never pass 55º in load, and even at low rpms it goes almost totally silent and the "surfing" temperature keeps arround 32-36)

But im beggining to have problems with it..

It vibrates... and it vibrates wich provoque noises from the chasis , the cooler mount and other elements from vibration..

the vibration.. to use a common example surelly most will get a hold on is like the one of a PlayStation control pad ..only slower

I can cut it a bit slowing down the HyperTX to minimun RPM.. but in "day" i like to have it at maximum, better cooling and for the noise arround home and gaming and so it doesnt bother me.

Apart from the vibration being quite anoying and making anoying noises.. it worries me if it can have negative effects (having a thing that is vibrating while being press against the CPU while being anchored to the mobo)

So im asking, is this .. bad? (to simplify the question) and most of all.. ITS NORMAL??

I have readed a hell lot of reviews of the HyperTX2 before buying it and all were great.. even Tomshardware recomended it before many others more expensive and it works trully great.. but nobody ever mentioned vibration and im wondering if mine is a defective unit.. does a 92mm fan vibrates? (other option could be getting a 92mm silent fan and replacing the unit) but... is my unit's fan maybe defective or unbalanced?

first step is to find out what is causing the vibration, most likely a fan or fans, or certain fans at certain rpms causing a perfect oscillation. One quick thing to check, is the case flush to the desk? do all feet touch the surface or is there any ability to "rock" the case. After that youll need to spend some time touching parts while the vibration is happening to see if you can determine where the offending item is. once you do that you can usually easily fix the problem with various methods. First, find the problem.

Wut??

Have you readed my post? I know exactly WHAT causes the vibration .. and is especified in the post title: THE CPU COOLER: THE HYPERTX2, there is only one thing that rotates in the cooler, its 92mm fan so its pretty clear where the problem is

Then why are you posting? Replace the cooler/fan then.

Im posting to ask if that vibration normal in those "vertical" fans (is placed 90º against the CPU and the case is vertical).. is the first "premium" (if the hyperTX2 can be called that or if we call, premium anything abobe intel coolers) cooler i install and is only 2 or 3 months old so is in warranty.. i would like to know if this vibration is normal or if is (or can be with time) harmfull

do you have any pics, or links to pics?
I guess this is a possible problem (vibration) the TRUE comes with anti-vibration strips that go between the fan and the HS fins for example, so maybe there is a way to rig something to stop the vibration in your instance. Maybe some thin rubber fashioned into "washers" where the mounting touches the mobo pan, if thats where its vibrating.

The problem is that the HyperTX2 fixes to the mobo using the intel-type pins wich sucks.. i wonder if there are kits to convert from those to any other thing even if it requieres taking out the mobo.. a ocuple of times with this and the old intel cooler, simply moving it a bit to check if it was "safe" two pins poped out separating sudenly the HS from the CPU

As for the pics:

yeah I hate those things (hsf pins) I wouldnt trust them for a second on an upright cooler, I barely trust them on the stock intel coolers. Have you considered another cooler that uses a backplate? If your case can fit it you can use a TRUE. It has a back plate and is tops among air cooling units. I think mine was like 60 bucks. I got it from frozen cpu
