Gigabyte 3D Aurora

Thread Starter
Yo, I'm currentley planning to fan mod my 3D Aurora within the next week hopfully, I plant to dremel out x2 120mm Fan holes on the bottom of my case, cut some holes for cable management and add soundproofing to blacken the inside of the case, I was wondering if anyone has any general tips.
Also if anyone had a 3D aurora I've love to see pics ^^

Thanks

You probably won't find a more picture rich source anywhere that beats Zoomlolly's log:

I have done many mods to my 3D Aurora... Changed the rear fans to very silent Arctic Cooling 120mm in rear of case, also changed out front fan to a Noctua 120mm.

First thing to do... tear out the useless dust filter on front fan! You have to remove whole face of PC first, helps if you remove drives first (trust me!). Also, I cut the metal grid out behind the front fan to allow more airflow over HDD bays... lowered my HDD temps over 20 degrees F!

I also used AcoustiPack insulation to silence the case even more! I plan on posting pics here in the future!

If you have any questions on this case, dont hesitate to ask! Its big and its bad!

I have one also, plan to do a work log as soon as I gather up all the materials I need.
It's a great case, just to much restriction for adequate HDD cooling.

Good luck with yours!
