I know some 7-series Geforces have that, not sure about ATI. They can be found for pretty cheap too.
Good idea on the NB cooler. I'll check that out in a minute. It may be too small for the amount of heat generated though.

But those fanless cards, meh. I've installed a few of the weaker ones on several people's HTPCs, and even those sit outside of a comfortable temperature range. I really don't wanna try a 7800GT or 8600GT without some sort of air flow.

So i tried a spare NB/SB cooler I had (this) and it was the exact size but no way to mount it. Anyway, I used some AS5 and held a fan in front of it to see if the temps were ok. By the time I was able to check the temp in windows it already hit 80 degrees. So yeah, that won't work.

And the mounting holes are identical to a geforce 6200 - a hole on the left and right, slightly off-center.

Thermaltake DuOrb's are only as tall as the PCI slot, so it will fit in an HTPC case, just not sure it supports your card.

Yeah thats not the NB cooler I had in mind lol. I'm doing fine with the little enzotech one with a 40mm fan. Was passing 100C sometimes on stock, and just that with some MX-2 brought it down to a stable 50-56.

You need a real chipset cooler, one with two holes 5.5cm away, not a chink of HS or old pentium one. You could get an HR-05 on there pretty easily if you have the space

I wish I had the room for an HR05 Unfortunately, a TV card and sound card have to get installed as well. Either way, the measurements don't match up - check out the mounting holes.

Good news....i think

I just said screw it and I picked up one of these Zalman VF700s. I figured that the holes matched up so it should work.

Well, it does work...kinda. The brace on the back of the card sorta overlaps one of the ram chips, so the sink on that one had to be tilted to the side a bit. That would probably be why this card isn't listed as being compatible. Also, the lap job on it is TERRIBLE, and since I'm all out of fine grit sandpaper its got a bit more thermal gunk on it than I'm used to.

With the fan at 5v, the GPU is running at 42 idle/75 load. Thats not too bad but theres a catch. Without a fan in the side panel the ram chips on the back of the card (the part facing the processor when installed) get hot enough to completely freeze up the computer. But the case is getting changed to an A900 so that might change along with it.
