Obviously, there are quite a few of these quests in AoC but they add extra things in like collecting a certain item or I don't know, but something more interesting.
The combat system is great IMO, really spices it up rather than just clicking on an enemy then clicking on your skills. Instead you get to decide which way to hit, and for your damage-increasing skills you have to actually input a combo to finish them, so = more skill.
Also, fatalities. Have you seen some of those? Fantastically gory
One of my personal favourites is one swing to dismember one arm, another swing dismembers the other arm and the final swing is a nice decapitation
Anyway, IMO AoC is more interesting than WoW and once they add more quests for 40-80 level and more dungeons and group instances etc, will be a much better game than WoW.
yea the combat system is cool. and i really do like it. but once again AOC is nothing but potential the combat system alone is not enough to keep me. it plays horrible. once in a while i get good FPS then back down to 17 FPS regardless of settings or resolution. i wont lie if the game ran well. i would be playing it. but the bottom line is it doesn't and just like LOTRO did, it never will.
remember Vangaurd, then LOTRO, now AOC. honestly looks like it's getting better, but still, these mmo makers need to sacrafice a little of their ambitions and get the gamers needs in priority. smooth gaming = fun. choppy slide show =frustration. IMO
if i wanted a slide show i throw on my itunes and look at my own pics..lol
