Looks great!

That orange contrasts with the black really nicely.

Keep it up

UPDATE
heres a little update of what i done a few days ago but just uploaded pics now.
Ok so it was time to paint cut a 120mm hole in the front case panel..so i broke the dremel out and make a nice circle..well as nice as i could by hand..the only tool i really have to help with modding is a dremel. Also i bondod the little indents and lines in the case as you can see in the pic

So i drew out the circle on the backside as it was quite tricky to do it on the front as it wasnt a flat surface

First just used a cutting disc to make a rough hole so i could work on it

i found this piece invaluable to making a nice circle by hand

The finished circle came out ok..but i wasnt fussed about it because it will be covered by the metal sheet and acrylic.

So now it was time for some more paint..decided to paint the dvd drive black...I used gloss black but this will just be a temporary drive as i need to pick up a litescribe black Sata drive.

Roughly sanded to get it flat

And after a couple coats of clear to get it shiny...note i wasnt very happy with thie results as dust and particles got stuck in the clear coat as i was painting but as i said, its only temp so itll do.

So now i moved onto painting the little usb cover on the bottom of the front case panel..after the first coat it looked like this

Yup horrible orange peel..but dont fret, a nice wetsand sading should fix this so some quick wetsanding with some 400grade paper

Another coat of black, from this angle you can see its flatter and smoother

Wait for that to dry and then sand with some 1500 grit paper to get it real smooth..looks like this

And after 2 coats of clear, quite a nice finish i think.

Thats all for today..stay tuned for more!.

UPDATE 14/06/08

Have not had an update in a while b/c ive been busy with college coursework, work and stuff so heres a few pics of what i did get done in my spare time..

So i painted the Front case panel this time round and nice gloss black..so first i sanded it all down and gave it a couple coats of grey primer for good adheasion for the paint. I use this car spray paint because its finish it nice and it is pretty tough and scratch resistant

Then sand down the primer with some 400 grit paper to get it smooth again, dont want that nasty orange peel finish..Ahh nice and smooth

Then it was time to give it its first coat of paint..Heres a little tip, heat the can up in a bucket of warm water, it pressurises the can and the paint sprays out in a much finer mist, resulting in a much better paint job

First coat of paint

Then sand down this first coat so the second coat can be even more smoother, You will get down to the primer again but only on edges, but it doesnt matter because one coat is more than enough to cover it up.

2nd coat of paint applied, looks better with the second coat

After that dries we sand it down with some 1500 grade to get it ready for clear coat. Wet sand it so the paper doesnt clog up and start scraping the paint of in places

Sanded

And after 2 coats of clear it looks kinda like this

Ofcourse i had to catch the OCN flame in the reflection

Ok so thats the front panel and bezels painted...So now it was time to cut a hole for the 120mm fan in that piece of acrylic for the front. It looked like this before i cut it, you can see where I started to cut it but then remembered to take a pic.

This was the circle finished, remember i done it by hand with a dremel and some sand paper, I was pretty happy with the result. I used some 1500 sand paper to polish the inner edge of the hole as i had no flame to polish it.

Came out very nice actually but the camera doesnt seem to capture it.
