Hell, if that's the case, then let's put all hardware news in the software news section too!!! Yeah, what a great argument!

oh boy not this again.

This proves that dx10 is a HUGE failure LOL. MS just moving onto dx11 .

Looks like no one is going to touch dx10 or even dx11. I think we should stick to dx9 indefinetly for like the next 5-10 years .

Huh? Why are people not reading the whole article? They see the mention of DX11 and go irate. Even the article says it will be a couple years from now...

If DX10 is a failure, this is not an indication of it.

I really enjoy DX10 in Crysis - the visuals are very different from DX9. Microsoft screwed up by forcing users to get Vista for DX10, but it is still good stuff. It would be more accurate to say that Microsoft's OS requirement was a failure.

Are there going to be any games in two years time that will use dx10 . There is only going to crysis and thats it. I don't see ANY game(apart from crysis triology) ever using dx10 solely. When that happens some smart nerd is going to "hack it" and make it run on xp just like someone made halo2 run on xp LOL.

Making untrue blanket statements does not help your point. There are several games that use DX10 that I can think off hand right now, so there are undoubtedly more.

Off the top of my head...

Bioshock, GoW, CoH, Crysis, Assassins Creed (10.1)....

Edit:
Even better, a Wiki list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ctX_10_support

If Dx11 will be exclusive to Windows 7 the whole mess will happen again. Just imagine it: People running Xp with Dx9, Vista with Dx10.1 and Windows 7 with Dx11 - good luck developers trying to figure out which version to support.
