High CFM fans - Page 2

How many you going to get - as each of those silverstone fans needs a 3.5" mount for the controller
Have a look at the internationaly shipping stores like i think newegg?
The scythe fans will do you good - and if you turn them down they are brilliant - the 2000RPM kaze is very quiet up to about 75% speed, then it becomes noticeable in my system - have them turned right down when not gaming/benching,

I'm not going with the Silverstones, read bad things about them, plus the fan controller looks tacky i'll find the Scythes elsewere.

I'm perfectly happy with my coolink fans ... maybe a bit less CFM but at that noise level, you can simply put in twice the fans! My system has 7 fans integrated (on watercooling) and you simply can't hear them at all (all on very low voltage off course). High RPM isn't always the solution ... good airflow is

*cough* i have about 13 fans in my system *cough*
and at full [including my 2 HD3870's (which make the most noise)] it sounds like a jet taking off

I've got 6 right now and it's pretty loud, replacing one or two of them though so I may end up with about 7. I can't imagine what 13 would sound like! I bet you can hear it in the next room..

Yes - and if i turn on the 2 GFX cards to 100% - you can here it at the bottom of the stairs at our place [about 10m to the top of the stair from room door]

Picture: Obviously my TRUE isn't mounted - the Kaze goes on the HDD side of it - that is the slipstream at the back:

Count them: 9 there, 2 you cannot see in the picture [one infront of HDD's and front intake] and another 2 added after the picture [2x 40mm for the northbridge]

Well, only proves my point: watercooling and a few real silent fans do the trick

... but hey, we're getting off topic here!

I never thought of mounting a 80mm like that, it is a 80mm blowing over your ram?.. I have one attached to the top of my middle HD rack, with tie clips ;D angled blowing on my 8800. Do those PCI slot fans actualy move much air?

I don't have £200+ for a good water cooling setup ;]
Maybe later but i'm fine with air for now.
