What a gimmick, both this and the Air.
The point of this notebook and the Air is portablity. For some people, they need a computer to carry around to check emails or make presentations, not popping in COD4 at starbucks.

When I was in college, I had a motion 1400 tablet. It fits right into my bag.

It is not a gimmick, it is just for a differnt market.

Air killer, methinks not. It will cost a mint, being voodoo. they also did a mac mini ripoff back in the day, I dont know if they still make it. it would have slaughtered the mini, but it cost like 3 grand.... all it will do is replace the air for very rich people who are ok with a sub par operating system.

The only thing you need DVD is to rip movies and install game which you don't need in the go. Also i move alot and i am out alot but is it a good idea for me to carry a expensive laptop that can break in just a seck?

I actually like it. I don't use cd's or dvd's unless im installing a game. Flash Drives are so big and cheap now. 8GB flash drive for $40. I rather have an Ethernet pot on the laptop just in case.

I think $2,099 is a pretty good price for me considering when I get a laptop for collage, I won't be paying for it.

I think it's better than the macbook air, but I hate Apple so that probably doesn't mean much. In my opinion, the price is reasonable and if I didn't already buy a laptop for school, I'd be getting this.
