''Oh yes I would, but it's way past my bed time now.... 2AM and I need to get up early tomorrow for an important meeting.

But for now I'll leave you with this... what does a HD3870X2 score in Vantage on the Extreme Preset? Some reviews I found on the net say a HD3870X2 scores about X2600 with Cat 8.3... Well according to a source of mine who I trust and who has proven to be correct most of the times before...

you can double that... and some more for the R700 Vantage X-score...'' (=~5500)

His source also said GTX 280 scored ~X4800 with improved drivers

so we WILL finally have an extreme high end from ATI!!!!!!!!

They might add some more points when they enable PhysX on their GPU, but that kinda goes against Futuremark rules... since a PPU can assist for a higher score and not a GPU... this could add up to 1000 points in the CPU test... so we'll have to see what Futuremark decides about including the PhysX into the score....

But here's what you all wanted to hear.... According to the same source R700 scores about X5500> in Vantage.
Oh and my buddies at VR-Zone tested a HD4850 OC 700Mhz. P64xx score in Vantage.
this is all basically the same as everything else posted about these cards... speculation/rumor but this guy has been right many times before

It's like Crossfire vs 1 Card. And how can we not take this with a grain of salt. It says Speculation right in the thread title. Also ATI has always been very nice in benchmarks... not so much in real gaming. My 3870 fails compared to 8800gt's at the same price.

I love how they say "with improved drivers" for the nVidia score.

Neither of these cards are released, nor their respective drivers... All I ever hear is "bad driver support" or "it's because of the drivers"..

When will ATi users, benchmarkers stop saying that? When ATi scores higher than an nVidia card I don't hear anything about drivers.

I find it ackward that people keep comparing the Double GPU cards to a single GPU GTX... Very strange... I'll just wait untill the stuff has been out for some time so they have good drivers. And ofcourse, I only count tests that have AA and AF fully turned on...

ATI Cards are real good in benches but in every game they get not just beat, but CRUSHED by Nvidia cards.

watch Nvidia respond to this a one or two months later with a GTX280X2
