They certainly seem reasonable enough:

FOR WINDOWS XP

# 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
# 512 MB RAM
# A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
# At least 6 GB of hard drive space

FOR WINDOWS VISTA

# 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent
# 768 MB RAM
# A 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
# At least 6 GB of hard drive space

More here

I can't wait. I hope that the bugs are fixed in this game. I don't want to play a buggy game.

How can you say that on a game that isn't even released or a demo available to know of bugs in the first place? lol

I think this game is going to waste half my life.

I want lots of bugs. well at least for part of the game. after some point i want them to evolve into a nice peaceful civilization... wait what am i saying! Nuke everyone else to HELL!!!

I would expect it to require more RAM.. 512MB isn't alot, especially seeing alot of new games requiring 1GB or more.

I think this game is going to waste half my life.

Well considering they had problems with it initially and plus it has taken them 7 years(now 8) to develop this game so I am hoping thats its not a dissapointment.
The game does sound to be a blast. It bring something fresh and new to table. A new genre so its exciting when new things come out . The permutation you can get with this get is limitless. The game isn't a waste of life. Its cool . EA finally release a title that bring a entirely new genre to the table.

my source of being in development for 8 years?

The music for the game is being designed by Brian Eno, an artist famous for his work with ambient music. Eno has worked with Kent Jolly and Aaron McLeran to implement a simple piece of software in Spore called "The Shuffler," which procedurally generates fragments for the soundtrack from a number of samples, based on the programming language Pure Data[75]. Eno appeared in the aforementioned June 2006 lecture to give a talk alongside Wright at the Long Now Foundation.[76] In January 2007, Eno confirmed his involvement in a lecture given at the Berlin University of the Arts.[77] Eno had been involved with Wright and Spore at least as early as June 2006.[78]
This is the one of the coolest bits.

I think its all about gameplay. not graphics

I find it quite incredible that they can procedurally generate music, AND run the game on just a P4 2ghz
