Wal-mart's new PCI cards --- what's the situation, sir?

Wal-mart has always, here, carried two PCI video cards. The GeForce FX5500, (256mb memory) and ATi Radeon X1300, both at $75 (the green), and $130 (the red). They seem to never update it. Well today I saw they have the GeForce 6200 OC edition (a BFG card) and a HD 2400 pro. I wish they would just get current-gen cheapies instead of ancient cards like the 6-series. But meh. And I understand why they get PCI versions, so EVERYONE can use them. Well right now, I've just moved and won't get the Lee PC in my sig up here for a few months. Right now I am using my old gateway PC. I have a

-Random gateway motherboard
-Athlon 1200mhz
-768mb SDRAM
-GeForce 2 Ultra

This rig plays most source games fine, and plays morrowind fine. But for some reason I cannot play Audiosurf ... it runs at like 12FPS. So I am looking for a card. And I don't have the money to do it online. Now, are these new wal-mart cards any good? Does the PCI bus really kill them? And, why are there so many threads about them? Did everyone else just realize wal-mart update too?

Also, nice to see that ATi card in the wal-marts. Lets you know they are still in the fight. Some people are saying they are doomed.

Thanks for reading the post ...

online is not an option. I have no debit card and no bank account to link to a paypal, and I don't want to wait the week it takes to do the paypal BS. I want one of these cards. And this is probably AGP 2x anyhow. Wal-mart is what I got, and PCI is what they got. I know two people who have PCI fx-5500's and play Oblivion on medium settings. Just seeing what all the buzz is about these cards.

The Ati 2400pro is probably your best bet, it will run games like Oblivion at decent settings... But I wouldn't shell out so much money for weak-sauce cards like this... If the 6200 is cheaper, get it. It can even run BF2142

Look and see if they have the X1550 PCI. It's got a core clock of 550MHz which wrecks most cards in it's price range.

My Best Buy has 8800gt's on sale for $150 this week. Hit them up and see what they have providing you have one nearby. their prices are higher than online but better than walmart. Charging $120 for a PCI Card yet alone a HORRIBLE 2400 is sad.

EDIT: I just checked BBY.com and low and behold a 2400 PCI is $120. Whats sad is the 8800gt 512mb is indeed $150.
