Anyone used any red Feser tubing? - Page 2

Even in the pic on the porch it appears to have an orangy hue rather than a real red. The stock photos from Feser certainly (incidentally the ones shown on Performance-PCs website) do not show this; however, Petra's uses their own pics and there it is apparent that it does have an orange tint. That said, Feser should have some more accurate pics on their website.

You should also be aware that ANY UV Red product is going to have either some orange or some pink to it. There's no getting around that. We don't have a good UV red pigment at this time.

Here are the pics of the Feser Tube I promised:

It really is red

particularly when lit from behind

but under other lighting conditions (flash or behind your perspective) it is more orange

but it does glow very nicely under UV

even when not in super close proximity to the UV source

Ive noticed how it changes around depending on lighting and angles. I'm in the process of breaking my rig down and changing out the quad for a duo and goind raid0 with two raptors. I just hope when everything goes back together the tubing will be red, but if not then oh well. The color doesnt make my temps. On a side note I spoke with feser in a few emails about the way the tubing changed depending on the angles, and it was like talking to a wall. Lol, I even got accused of using "lame cathodes". Anyways, if all goes right with work, I should have this thing back up and running friday and will post some pics since I'm changing a few things around and using the new tubing.

That's funny; I've just proven with a few pics that the color of the tube appears differently based on angle and lighting; and that's without any CCFLs. My pics also show that it glows orange with only UV CCFLs on (and A.C.Ryan's at that); even if I turn on my red CCFLs the tube still glows orange.

But what can you expect, Manufacturers don't like it when people criticize their products; and if there's a problem they much rather take care of it discretely than having a public stink about it on their hands.

For me personally; I'm not overly worried about the color since it's better than dealing with dyes that just end up mucking up the loop.

That tubing looks pretty good, thats a lot better then dumping a bunch of dye in your loop......All dye's will separate out after a while and lose vibrancy...This keeps your loop clean, and hopefully a little better temp's, it looks good if you like UV stuff....I used to sleeve mine in black w/black heat-shrink back when I cared what it looked like...

Not quite finished yet(work is killin my hobby time). Check out just how red this stuff is in this pic. This stuff goes from bright orange to a fabulous red, depending on lighting and angle. I just hope it stays this red when I get it finished up and the case lit up. Hopefully I'll have more pics soon with the rest of the tubing installed and leak testing.
