Best cheap air cooler for a friends E2180

Thread Starter
My friend is on quite a low budget since he has other things he must save for but he can spend 50 or 60 every couple of weeks to upgrade his PC since we got him one put together from my old parts and his.

I am wondering what is the best cooler for his money. I would love to find a good one for $20 but your probably going to say spend 5 more for an AF& or the 25 buck xigmatek right? However which is better of these two i own the AFP7 and its probably good enough but the xigmatek is better?

I'd go for the Xigmatek HDT-S1283. It's one of the top three coolers, but it's quite inexpensive. I got mine for only $37. Compare that to the $60 for a TRUE, which doesn't even include a fan! Or there's also the Xigmatek HDT-S963, which is the 92mm version of the HDT-S1283. It also performs very well but isn't as expensive.

the ac freezer pro 7 is probably the most bang for your buck cpu cooler around.

I've got the AC7 on my e2180, and the AC7 covers all the heat my e2180 can throw at it, it's fine under load at 1.5v even.

My AC7 under load never goes above 54 with 1.5 Vcore. Definitely recommend it for performance/price within a budget.

Another vote for the AC7. Im using it on my HTPC, which has severly restricted airflow. Keeps the CPU nice and cool.
