[BB] Voodoo Envy is Thinner than MBA

I don't really want to recite the same old cultish shibboleths as the rest of the Apple fan base, but this image stacking the MacBook Air atop the Voodoo Envy really does demonstrate at a glance how superior Apple's designers really are to the rest of the industry. Looking at the two, you might parse that that Voodoo was slim and you would register that the Air is also substantially tapered, but you would still probably think that the Envy was one-and-a-half to two times thicker than the Air, as opposed to the reality of being measurably slimmer. And that's why Apple's designers are best of biz: sure, the Envy's designers made it slim, but Apple? They made the Air slim and then they made it an optical illusion for good measure.

No CD drive I presume..

Well, not much lost there.. Apple will just try to make another, slimmer laptop then.

Also, before you people say "LOL APPLE GOT PWNT"..

Apple did it first, its only natural for them to have some punches thrown at them that land a little hard .

Go look at a macbook air. They are not fragile. Pretty sturdy for something so small. This is a really cool laptop, directly competes with the air. I kinda like the air more though.

Yeah - that's why we hear all those reports of MBA's snapping in half

If you've used one you would know that it feels as sturdy as any laptop does

Old nano I assume. They had a problem with having the top and bottom torqued at the same time.. Same with anything else as well. The new nano's are wider so they dont have that problem, as much at least..

Every Envy comes with an external optical drive. Better than spending $100 on a Superdrive or whatever it's called.

Apple did what first? Built the slimmest laptop? It's not as if there wasn't a "world's slimmest laptop" before the MBA. Apple was just the first to flaunt the title like some sort of huge accomplishment.

It was an accomplishment. Not exactly the easiest thing to do in tech. And so you give a little more than a super drive. It's still a lot cheaper than the envy is total.

The main issue I have with the Macbook Air is that every time someone touches the display unit at my Best Buy the anti-theft alarm goes off lmao.
