No worries mate.. I was extremely frustrated... so guys please forgive me if I lashed out at anyone or made your suggestions not welcomed.. was not my intention.. I am still that I cant used 4 gigs. My only possible solution.. new mobo or to play it safe.. new mobo that support DDR3 and 2x2gig DDR3 Ram I actually like the 2nd option.. gives me a reason to upgrade lmao.

sounds like windows is corrupted. I'm not sure how it could of been corrupted by adding more ram, do a memtest.

Terr.. I have reinstalled a few times.. plus.. backing down the mem clock to 667 and Vista runs the 3 gigs fine sorta tells me its not an OS issue.

Right now I can run 3 gig (667) in any slots 1,2,4: 1,3,4: 2,3,4 : 1,2,3. If I set the memory to default 800.. It will not work.

That's a frustrating issue. Did you try to bump up your northbridge voltage?

Yea there was 3 settings for the northbridge.. I tried all 3 manaually.

Should I try something like... max NBridge, bump memory from 2.1 -> 2.25.. (maybe to high) as well as loosen the timings.. combine all 3 might get the memory working???? Is it possible?

hopefully that works. In the future, do not make multiple changes at once. It will make troubleshooting extremely difficult to pinpoint the problem. Always just change one setting at a time, so you can track what is causing the problem.

Good luck!
