Caterer of all almost all techie things, Asustek has now officially released a new Republic of Gamers motherboard, the Maximus II Formula. Powered by the latest Intel silicon couple (P45 and ICH10), the ROG board comes with support for Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme processors with FSBs of up to 1600 MHz, DDR2-1200 readiness and a quite expansive cooling solution.
The fresh motherboard also features two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots, CrossFire X support, one eSATA and eight SATA 3.0 Gbps ports and two Gigabit Ethernet controllers. The fun doesn't stop here as Asus has also bundled a SupremeFX X-Fi audio card with the Maximus II Formula and has equipped the board with Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons.
The Maximus II Formula has already popped up in Europe and can be found with sub-200 Euro price tags
