At least the bottom isn't chopped off. Looking good especially in Crysis where ATI cards normally aren't good at.

Thats looking very good for ATi. So 4870 is almost 1.5 times faster then 9800GTX. I heard that GTX280 is about 55% faster then Ultra.

Edit: So now Ati dosent have the AA and Af problem>?

I can't wait...4870 can't come out fast enough. The graduation money is burning a hole in my pocket.

ATi didn't have problems with AA, they struggled with AF because they were lacking TMUs. According to almost all the rumored specs, they doubled the TMU count so they should be good to go now

It was only an AF problem really. They solved this by doubling the TMUs.

What were the benches on 1920x1200 if any?. I cant access the images due to work blocking it lol. Was it just one card or crossfire?

Crysis DX10:
HD4850 is 40% faster than 8800GT
HD4870 is 40% faster than 9800GTX
4xAA / 8xAF

The interesting thing here is that GTX280 I think was rumored to be ~50% faster than the 9800GTX. If you figure the GTX260 will be about 80% the performance of a 280, the HD4870 is going to be one on one with the GTX260 with a $150 price difference. I have to wonder what Nvidia's reaction to this will be. Not only that, but two 4870's in CF are going to kill a 280 and still be cheaper. I think ATi may have done it...

Edit: It was one card.

Again, these IMO are fake, these 'tests' don't show...anything.

These are AMD PR slides, so, expect the numbers to be slightly exaggerated. Also, we have no idea of the specifics of the tests/test systems, this is just a general overview...maybe they expect this to be an average performance benchmark. It's not fake, but it might be an overstatement of the true performance.

Thank you darkcloud for your response. I think im jumping over to ATI if the sites figures are correct. +Rep for you!
