Frozen or Dead Pixle?

Thread Starter
I just got my ASUS 24" LCD and I notice a pixel. When on a black screen, the pixel is red. If it is frozen, how would I fix it?

get one of those videos that flash different colors rapidly and let it run overnight.
There's also a couple different versions, and i have never gotten any of them to work(for my psp).

I can find a link for you if you can't find one.

Ya they are stuck pixels, I've had limited success fixing them in the past with those stuck pixel programs. Of the few I've fixed the only thing that worked was applying a small amount of pressure and rubbing it in a circular motion with a cloth.

That's one way of doing it, the only way I recommend. My buddy did it and fixed tons of pixels.

Another I found, but is dangerous, is find the pixel, turn the monitor off, get something like your finger, cover it in cloth, and push directly on to the pixel, or as close as you can get.

Don't press hard though!!!!

After you found the pixel and are pressing lightly on it, turn the LCD back on and release the pressure. Sometimes the liquid crystal doesn't get to that pixel and this might put some in there. This sometimes helps, and sometimes makes it worse consequently...

So do it at your own risk!
