I agree with all the post's saying to wait a month or so. Early indications seem to point towards the GTX 260 and 280 performing better, but costing considerably more and consuming more power. The 4800 series while performing well, likely won't beat a GTX 280, but will probably offer the same or slightly better performance than a GT 260. The 4800 series will consume less power and likely cost a lot less. However all of this is speculation until the cards are actually out priced and benchmarked.
