Need Help

Thread Starter
I have 100$ right now, My mobo supports the cpu I want right now but I am not sure about it. I am planning to get and AMD X2 5600+ for 87$ but I also wonder if I should wait the whole summer to save up and get a new mobo and an E8400. Because I am struggling really badly for fps even tho my graphic card is good.

That BE-2300 is still a Brisbane at heart, so you should be able to get some pretty nice overclocks out of it. Getting a 5600+ won't really increase your maximum OC. You should also get that RAM going. 533MHz ain't doin' you any good. Spend your cash on a good heatsink (shameless plug time! GeminII only $37@ the Egg) and OC that sucker.

Get a new mobo then. THIS has one of the nicer chipsets and costs less than the 5600+.

That TF720 would be a good choice.... and this Biostar board would work well too:

No matter what you do, you are going to take a chance. I would wait a little longer and get a new mobo, maybe one that supports AM2+ and PCI x16 2.0.
