It's just that it's really complicated lemme explain:

Just $400 a year for online shopping
Just $5000 for physical shopping (as in being in a store)

The 400 I know won't be enough for much, so I'm interested on spending a part of the 5000 this year, so the PC (or it's cost), will be already covered, leaving the next year's amount untouched

compusa is a fine store... the only issues you will run into there are motherboard selection... basicly the 780i or bust....

they have a couple asus sli boards..

as for everything else its on the shelves, along with good prices...

FYI there is always something better thats going to be released... as of right now nothing is even coming close to the using the power we have...

Isn't CompUSA defunct now? They closed their store here, and I thought all of their stores were closing.

As for my recommendation - Nehalem will be great for a server CPU running virtualization, but for any desktop use, you probably won't see a huge benefit except for benchmarking. I'd recommend going Quad Core - whatever everyone is talking about now would be fine. I built a Q6600 rig in December, and it's more than I'll probably ever need for a desktop.

If you were building a server for a datacenter running virtualization, I'd say wait for Nehalem, but for general desktop use, even the quad cores available today are pretty overkill.
