I got my SC card from NCIX (when the 8800GT's were first released), and at the time it was cheaper than any other vender's standard 8800GT.

Welcome to OVERCLOCK.net

You OC your GPU and it craps out, have fun squeezing an RMA out of them. You use a SC card from EVGA and it craps out, RMA is no biggie.

In addition, SC cards (and the equivalent from other manufacturers) usually have a better stock heatsink+fan than the regular ones. The HS+F on my 'ol 7900GT KO was really nice compared to the regular ones, bigger, all-copper, etc.

I like my superclocked 8600 gts, although the 8600 GTS is said to be a great waste of $ and what not. XD
It plays everything at decent graphics and frame rates. :3
Due to warranty violations, i think superclock cards are worth the extra 10-15 bucks.
But then again evga has warranty even on overclocks (i think so anyways...)

I have a 'superclocked' card and it's an amazing overclocker. (I have two now, but haven't gotten around to test the other one). At the time I bought it, it was the same price as the 'regular' cards. I think $10 isn't that much extra money.

But seriously, most VGA maunfacturers do this, BFG especially. Not everyone overclocks themselves, remember.
LOL

Anyways in australia they are like 30-60 dollars more expensive not joking.

a superclocked card is 30-60 dollars more expensive and compared to a stock-speed card.

gotta love the XFX Double-Lifetime warranty! I am the second owner of my (stock clocks originally) GTX and if I were to fry it from clocking it too high, they'd replace it with no questions asked.

I got my Evga 8800GT SC the 1st day they were available (10/30/07)
I paid $20 over the stock card's price.
It was worth the $20 to me for the garanteed 650mhz clock vs the 600mhz.
Now running 713/1782/1998 with no issues.
