I was wondering why my upload speeds weren't complete crap the past few days. Damn you comcast, I was so tempted to go to DSL..

This is what $50 a month gets you in Maine, so stop whining!

But when I interned at our ISP last summer they bumped me up to 30/15 for free for a while.

That's only the powerboost showing there. The real line speed is 6mBps\\1mBps. The powerboost literally unlimits your connection, allowing it to go as fast as the local network will allow (it will go it's fastest under the least load time, generally 3-5AM). Hence the 4MB\\s download speed.

Previous torrent upload speed cap: 40 kB/s
New torrent upload speed cap: 130 kB/s

Not bad. I'm still not content with Comcast though. I have a feeling this is a precursor of something sinister..

Meh... For a bit less than $20 bucks I don't mind it too much. Sort of sucks since the wiring for DSL in my area only supports what I currently have as it's fastest plan/speed.
