Are there more than one version of GeForce 9800 GTX?

I have seen some shopping sites sell the GeForce 9800 GTX as two versions with the "(G92)" added to the name. are there more than one version of the 9800 GTX?

what are the factors to consider when buying a 9800 GTX?

All 9800 GTX cards are G92 based. Some just add that onto there for "noob proofing" so to speak.

All you really need to consider is your favorite brand, price, and whether or not you want to overclock it yourself or spend the extra for a factory overclocked card.

Agreed, its just how they have labelled it.

You can get pre oc'ed ones as well as the standard models.

Just choose your manufacturer and go for it.

Only real difference is the memory amount (som ehave 1gb, which is pretty much useless), some have different coolers, and more importantly, each brand has a different warranty.

That is why I won't buy from PNY again, companies like EVGA, XFX, and BFG have lifetime warranties, and exceptional support staff.

Agreed. XFX has a double-lifetime warranty so if you sell your card the next owner has a full warranty too!
